1. Get to your bird as soon as possible (Watch those spurs!).
2. Get him OFF the ground (flopping against the ground damages feathers!).
3. Avoid contact with obstacles and folliage when leaving the field.
4. DO NOT attempt to skin or field dress your bird!
5. After smoothing out the turkey’s feathers, carefully slide him head first into a pair of panty hose (cut a single leg section
from a pair of hose for this.)
6. Get your bird to us ASAP or contact
us to set up a later appointment (In this case, place the nylon wrapped bird into two plastic bags, seal, and freeze.).
